Information
The following ports are used by Archiver. The firewall may need to be configured to grant network access as outlined below.
Listening Ports on the Archiver Server:
- HTTP / HTTPS Port: 80 / 443
Archiver's ASPNET based web interface is hosted in IIS listening on the following ports by default:

Remoting Ports:
- MailArchiver 2014 or newer: 8017, 8018
- MailArchiver 2013: 8017, 8018, 8019, 8020
The ports above are used by Archiver for inter-process communication between various services within GFI Archiver.

IMAP Server Port: 44143
- GFI Archiver's IMAP server listens on this port by default if enabled.
Connections established from the GFI Archiver Server:

SMTP Port: 25
- Used by GFI Archiver when an email needs to be restored to a user's mailbox or a notification is sent to the GFI Archiver Administrator.
- Used by GFI Archiver when an email needs to be restored to a user's mailbox or a notification is sent to the GFI Archiver Administrator.

HTTP/HTTPS Port: 80, 443
- Used by the GFI Archiver user interface and web services. It is also used to access Microsoft Exchange via EWS.

MAPI / RPC Port: 135
- Used when GFI Archiver is installed on the same machine Microsoft Exchange and configured to ExOLEDB to retrieve emails.

IMAP Port: 143
- Default port number used by GFI Archiver if configured to retrieve emails from the Microsoft Exchange using IMAP.
- The port number used for IMAP connections can be changed from the GFI Archiver Configuration.

Microsoft SQL Server Port: 1433 (1434 and dynamic / custom SQL port)
- Used when GFI Archiver is configured to archive emails to a Microsoft SQL Server Database.
- Used when GFI Archiver is configured to archive emails to a Microsoft SQL Server Database.

LDAP traffic to Domain Controllers / Global Catalog: 389, 3268
- Connections are done from the GFI Archiver Server to the Domain Controller which stores the Microsoft Global Catalog or GFI Directory.
