ResolvedProblem Summary
Adding email address of a distribution group to restriction list resolves members and adds 1 member onlyTT / JIRAID
2510How to Identify
This issue is best described via these steps to reproduce:
1. Create a mail-enabled distribution group (e.g. give it the email address: workerscouncil@domain.com)
2. Add 5 members to the group (user1, user2, user3, user4 and user5)
3. Open the MARC website: Configuration > Archive Restrictions
4. Click on Change Settings and enable a mode (e.g. Exclude & Archive item for Active Directory users. Users in restriction list will not be able to view it)
5. Click on Manage Restrictions
6. Enter the email address of the distribution group (as per step 1: workerscouncil@domain.com)
7. Click on the Add button
8. Observe that the list does not get populated with the email address of the distribution group, but a single (random?) member of the group
The customer would probably expect that the email address of the distribution group would have been added to the list instead of a single random member.Workaround / Fix Details
Fixed in GFI Archiver 2015 SR1 build 20150218
Fix details:
If the email address entered is of a distribution group, the email is not resolved and left as an email address
