Overview
This article provides information regarding the item Identification Code in GFI Archiver. Every archived item has a unique Identification Code. The Identification Code has been assigned by GFI Archiver at the point of archival.
Information
The identification code consists of three parts:
- The generic prefix eml
- The unique archive store GUID number
- The individual item ID
Example: eml:44d716cd-9ee6-4d07-a348-158c9caf292e-2147465602
- The archive store GUID is: 44d716cd-9ee6-4d07-a348-158c9caf292e
- The item ID is: -2147465602
In order to search for a particular item, the search (in the search field) must be done only using the identification code: eml:44d716cd-9ee6-4d07-a348-158c9caf292e-2147465602
NOTE: It is possible to search for the item ID only (-2147465602); however, note that this number on its own is ambiguous across multiple archive stores. The minus character before the number must be included in the search as this is a negative number and not a separator.
