Information
Environment
- GFI Archiver
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003 64-bit
Root Cause
In this particular environment, after installing .NET Framework 4, Internet Information Services (IIS) 6 switches the Microsoft Outlook Web Access to the latest version of .NET Framework installed, which causes the failure of Microsoft OWA.
Process
- Open IIS Manager. Refer to Opening IIS Manager for instructions on how to open the IIS Manager.
- Navigate to ServerName > Websites.
- Right-click on the Exchange Virtual Directory and select Properties.
- Click on the ASP.NET tab.
- Under ASP.NET Version, select 2.0.50727.
- Click Apply and then OK.
- Right-click on the Archiver Application and select Properties.
- Click on the ASP.NET tab.
- Under ASP.NET Version, select 4.0.30319.
- Click Apply and OK.
Confirmation
Once the above process is completed, Microsoft OWA works as expected.
