Overview
This article addresses an issue where, upon synchronizing a large mailbox with over 100,000 emails and using a large day span within the Outlook Connector, not all emails are shown in the Outlook Connector.
Information
By default, the Outlook Connector is configured to synchronize and cache a maximum of 100,000 emails. Emails above that value are not shown.
Process
-
Close all open instances of Microsoft Office Outlook.
-
Browse to the following paths, depending on your operating system:
-
Microsoft Windows Vista or newer:
C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Local\GFI\Archiver
-
Microsoft Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\{user}\Local Settings\ApplicationData\GFI\Archiver
Note: The folder may be named 'MailArchive.'
-
- Open the GeneralSettings.xml file.
-
Locate the line
<MaxMailsInCache>100000</MaxMailsInCache>
and increase the value to999999
. -
Save the file.
-
In the same location mentioned in step 2, delete the file named *.fdb (this will be a long alphanumeric name).
-
Open Microsoft Office Outlook and allow the Outlook Connector synchronization to complete.
