Answer
PROBLEM
When a web filter such as GFI WebMonitor is installed between the GFI Archiver server and the GFI Archiver Outlook Connector, the web filter may interfere with the downloading of emails or the downloading of attachments done by the GFI Archiver Outlook Connector. If GFI WebMonitor is used, whenever the user tries to open or save an attachment using the GFI Archiver Outlook Connector, Microsoft Outlook will try to open the GFI WebMonitor download page with the default application that is assigned to the particular file type.
For example, if the user tries to open a Microsoft Word document, since Microsoft Word can view HTML pages, the GFI WebMonitor download page will be shown using Microsoft Word instead of the word document. On the other hand, if the attachment is of a ZIP or PDF file type, the user will receive an error that the file is corrupted, this is because the ZIP application or Adobe Reader cannot show the HTML page.
ENVIRONMENT
